We get one story, you and I, and one story alone.
God has established the elements, the setting, the climax and the resolution.
It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn't it?

SMOG BLOG

The caption from smoggy Sunday (527)
to a beautiful Thursday (46).
This week in Beijing was the smoggiest of the smoggiest and the clearest of the clearest.

From Sunday to Wednesday the smog was toxically high. The smog-o-meter on Sunday read 527! The air quality in Minneapolis right now is 38.

We couldn't go out for recess at school. I never wear a smog mask, but I did this week. Even the Chinese public schools warned administrators not to let the students go outdoors for P.E. When the government admits there's a flaw, it's big.

But then Wednesday night something happened.

Wind and rain.

I woke up Thursday morning to a gorgeous blue sky and gulped down fresh air into my charcoly lungs. I felt so new and fresh! Fresher than how you feel after showering for the first time in a week (after camping of course). My mood completely changed.

Seasonal Affective Disorder is real; but so is Smog Affective Disorder.

But the blue sky was here today, and I even saw a star tonight.

Beijing fashion.
When I get off the plane I am addicted to staring and swimming in that blue sky and those white clouds above.

But until that time, I'll have to embrace the newest fashion trend in the Jing.
